This palatial Tuscan home retains many original features, such as sweeping brick-lined archways and open beam ceilings. The exterior is as beguiling as the interior. With an enviable location close to the charming village of San Miniato, Villa Miniato is an idyllic Italian escape for larger groups or families.

Halfway between Florence and Pisa sits the historic village of San Miniato, a settlement which dates back to Etruscan times. Its fearsome castle has welcomed popes and people of note throughout the centuries, all drawn here by the town's most famous export – white truffles. San Miniato is also renowned for its artisan district at the foot of Rocca di San Miniato. You'll find a wealth of creative artists, sculptors and craftspeople producing beautiful pieces that capture the spirit of the Tuscan countryside.

A sweeping driveway leads you towards this exquisite villa surrounded by olive trees and mature gardens. The honey-gold exterior opens into a refined and opulent interior that sympathetically combines the villa's unique traditional features with contemporary touches. The living areas are filled with plush furnishings and divided into various nooks where you can socialise over a glass of wine. A formal dining room complete with a chandelier is intimate and incredibly elegant, while the fully fitted kitchen has a classic farmhouse feel.

The four bedrooms are decorated in a mix of serene and calming colours, with a relaxed, soothing ambience. There are two double bedrooms, a third bedroom with three single beds ideal for younger guests, and a family room with a double bed and a single bed.

Outside, a spectacular infinity pool is the focal feature in the heart of the private garden, surrounded by sun loungers and views that will take your breath away. A covered pergola and shaded al fresco dining area let you embrace the Tuscan way of life in all its glory and include a wood-burning oven for creating your fresh pizzas.
