New York vacation rentals

The perfect stay
in New York City

From the lights of Broadway to the Statue of Liberty, browsing boho Greenwich Village or the ultimate shopping trip down Fifth Avenue, New York is packed with character and attractions. Ideal for anyone looking to stay 30 nights or longer, our monthly rentals in New York put you right in the centre of the action. Whether you're planning on visiting for 6 weeks or 57 nights exactly, we offer flexible rentals in the city's most desirable districts. From sipping silky lattes in West Village and grabbing a pastrami sandwich from Katz's Delicatessen to bar hopping around East Village, every taste of New York will leave you yearning for more.

New York has a unique character, unlike any other place in the world. Yellow taxis fill the streets, vendors serve up the best hotdogs on the Eastern Seaboard, and you’ll meet every nationality speaking every language crowded into just 300 square miles. Dominated by skyscrapers and the backdrop for countless movies and TV shows, even if you’ve never been here before you’ll instantly recognise its iconic landmarks like old friends.

With such a cultural melting pot, there’s no single ‘flavour of New York’. You can eat your way around the world in the space of a few blocks, hitting Little Italy for some seriously good New York pizza (or a ‘pizza pie’ to the locals) or Chinatown for the best egg rolls. While the sheer energy of 18 million people all sharing the same space is exhilarating, you can grab a quiet moment to catch your breath in the greenery of Central Park, before diving back into ‘The City that Never Sleeps’.

Best time to go

  • During spring: New York in the spring is a joy, with blooming cherry blossoms in Central Park and the High Line beginning to wake up with greenery. Explore open-air art installations, sip coffee in Greenwich Village, and visit the Brooklyn Botanic Garden in perfect bloom.

  • During summer: Summer in New York can reach temperatures in the 80s–90s°F (high 20s–30s°C) making the city hot and humid. Our air-conditioned homes will help you stay cool, or you can head to one of the city’s many rooftop pools or beaches like Coney Island or Rockaway. Be sure to head to Central Park for summer outdoor movie nights and concerts.

  • During autumn: Fall is one of the most beautiful times to visit New York. The city is wrapped in golden hues, and Central Park becomes covered in luscious leaves. Make sure to visit the Met’s rooftop garden before it closes for the season or enjoy the Halloween festivities in the West Village. The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, in November draws visitors from around the world.

  • During winter: Winter is one of the most festive times in the city, despite the cold conditions. From ice skating at Rockefeller Center to viewing the famous holiday window displays along Fifth Avenue, there’s plenty to enjoy. Snuggle into one of Soho’s cozy cafés or take in a Broadway show.

How to get there

Make the journey as memorable as the arrival. Your dedicated concierge (OFS Concierge Services LLC) can arrange transportation from the closest airport or train station to your New York City apartment.

By car

New York is laid out in a grid system, so while traffic can be heavy, it’s very easy to navigate your way around. The main approach roads are the I-78 from New Jersey and Pennsylvania, the I-80 from the mid-west, the I-87 from Upstate New York and Canada, and the I-95 from the south and east. The bridges can get congested during rush hour, and the city’s public transport network including the subway is a better alternative for moving around the centre of the city with ease.

By plane

New York is served by several airports, the largest of which is JFK or John F Kennedy International Airport. Newark Liberty International Airport is the second-largest catering for international flights, while LaGuardia Airport is a hub for domestic flights from other parts of the USA. Allow plenty of time for connections, especially at JFK, which is spread over a huge area of Queens and has eight terminals.

By train

If you want to experience America at its best, a fabulous way to arrive in New York is by train. Amtrak terminates at New York Penn Station, putting you right in the heart of the city underneath Madison Square Garden. From New York, you can catch connections to almost every part of the USA from California to the Canadian and Mexican borders.

Local tips

  • The NYC subway runs 24/7 — providing great access across the city. You can use a contactless credit card or a digital wallet to ride; so no need for a MetroCard.
  • One of the best ways to explore the city is on foot. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes and taking your time when strolling through neighbourhoods like Tribeca, the West Village, or Williamsburg in Brooklyn.
  • To avoid the queues for the city’s popular attractions like the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, or the Museum of Modern Art, you can book skip-the-line tickets in advance — or let our OFS Concierge Services LLC handle it for you.
