As one of the Samujana estate’s more intimate options, Villa Beckett works especially well for honeymooners or small families. Nestled in a hilltop perch atop Coral Bay, sensational sea views are ever-present, and not least from amid the saltwater infinity pool. Natural rock formations flank the gorgeous pool, as do sun loungers and a barbecue. Overlooking the whole scene is your private roof terrace, great for both sunsets and yoga routines – ideally at the same time.

Head inside to the media room, or laze amid an open-plan living and dining room which blends dark and pastel shades. There’s a chic kitchen in one corner; breakfast itself is complimentary, while your chef – part of a full team of live-in staff attending the villa – will concoct meals from his in-villa menu whenever requested. The three airy, ensuite bedrooms boast rainfall showers and oversized bathtubs; like every interior space, they’re seductively minimal.

The estate’s shared tennis court is floodlit for night-time play. A short stroll away, sandy Choeng Mon’s beach is one of Koh Samui’s most romantic shores. A smattering of seafood shacks, bars and tempting boutiques line it. Bophut and Chaweng’s longer, louder beaches also lie close to this northeastern island peninsula, while Samujana’s concierge can arrange jungle zip-line rides, waterfall hikes or sailboat voyages to deserted islands as well as massages or Muay Thai classes. Your board includes airport transfers.
