Spectacular Villa Amparo rests within a vast coconut grove alongside the white sands of Sira Beach on the island of Lombok. With four delightful and private bedroom pavilions - each with king-size beds and sofa beds for the kids, Villa Amparo is ideal for families or friends looking for a get-away in a gorgeous, tropical island location while being pampered by a dedicated team of experienced staff and a skilled chef. Outdoor activities include swimming in the 28m free-form pool, volleyball on the lawn, snorkelling, sea kayaking, cycling through traditional villages, or golf on the adjacent 18-hole Sire Beach Golf Course.

There are several flights per day from Bali to Lombok's new airport at Praya. The 25 minute flight takes in views of the mysterious island of Nusa Penida, the resplendent Mt Agung, and Lombok's west coast. There are also international flights from Singapore to Lombok with Silk Air.Sira Beach (also spelt Sire), the longest white-sand beach on Lombok Island, is bordered by neatly planted rows of tall, swaying coconut palms with crystal waters lapping the soft, virgin-white sand. From the beach there is a panoramic vista of the mountains, the coastline, the tiny port of Bangsal and the Gili Islands. The whole area is secluded, quiet and almost deserted bar a few neighbouring villas and some tiny hamlets. Located right beside the beach is the Sire Beach Golf Club, a scenic 18-hole championship course open to the public. Tugu Lombok, an atmospheric, antique chic hotel with a restaurant and bar open to outside guests is just a few minutes' walk along the beach. The nearest settlement of any note is the small but charming market village of Tanjung, 4km away.
