From skiing fresh Utah powder in the winter, to winding down mountain biking trails in the summer, there is an activity for everyone to enjoy during all seasons. If extreme sports are not really your thing, Park City offers an abundance of art galleries, dining options, boutique shopping, and relaxing spas. Not to mention the Sundance Film Festival where you can experience the excitement of world-premiere films and original storytelling.
This historic silver mining town has a lot to offer. So let me show you around with my guide to Park City.
The Olympic Park was built to host many of the events for the 2002 Winter Olympics. They offer bobsledding and park tours during the winter, in addition to ziplining, obstacle courses, and shows during the summer. You can catch some of the professional athletes training, it’s a sight to see.
Snowmobiling is a fun winter activity to take in the beautiful mountain scenery. Don’t forget to bring your camera. There is always a good chance of spotting wildlife while you make your way through the snow filled terrain of mountain peaks and powder fields. You’ll want to snap a photo of the amazing views.
If you’re looking for an unforgettable western experience, take a sleigh ride. Bundled up in the back of a horse drawn sleigh you’ll be transported up the mountain. Upon arrival at the lodge, you’ll be welcomed with a gourmet dinner and live music. It is one of the most requested experiences in town.
For the whiskey lovers, High West Saloon is the spot. It is a Park City staple serving up their very own whiskey distilled in Park City. You can either dine at the saloon and enjoy western mountain cuisine and good drinks, or sign up to take a tour of the distillery with their whiskey experts.
Craft cocktails and dishes full of the freshest ingredients make Tupelo Park City a must try. As a starter, the homemade buttermilk biscuits with honey butter are a local favorite. Tupelo does an excellent job at showcasing mountain farm to table dining. Their locally sourced menu is delectable.
Handle will wow your tastebuds. They specialise in American small plate cuisine, with a creative and fun cocktail menu. Reservations are highly recommended as they are fully booked most evenings. They’ve been featured in just about every travel magazine for a reason.
