Here at onefinestay, hospitality is in our DNA. We are obsessed with crafting unforgettable moments for our guests, resulting in memories they will treasure forever. Whatever the occasion, our service team always goes above and beyond to surprise and delight. Here are a few of the special moments we’ve helped create over the years.
Christmas in Hawaii
A family staying with us in Hawaii over the winter holiday period wanted to ensure that their little ones still got to enjoy all the cosiness of Christmas time. The solution: we brought the very best of the festive season to Hawaii for them. Their children were delighted to arrive at a beautifully decorated villa, complete with a twinkling Christmas tree and filled stockings hanging on the mantlepiece. We then arranged for a private chef to cook a special family festive feast on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Park City proposal
One of our guests in Park City was preparing to ask a very special question and enlisted our help. We happily rose to the occasion and organised a romantic husky sledge ride to dinner at a cosy cabin surrounded by snow. Of course, the answer was a resounding ‘yes’.
The dream day out in London & beyond
A set of parents visiting London on a summer business trip had a full schedule and asked us to arrange a fun day out for their three children. We began their trip with a private tour to Buckingham Palace to experience the Changing of the Guard, followed by a tasty lunch to recharge with. We then arranged for day trips to Stonehenge and Bath, with a personal guide and chauffeur to ensure everything went smoothly. As a finalé, we organised a VIP matinee viewing of the one and only Lion King, one of the West End’s most spectacular shows. We ensured that the little ones arrived to a VIP welcome at the theatre and that they came home with a special goody bag and souvenir from their day.
Special visits from Santa
We had plenty of families staying with us in London over the festive season, so we put our heads together and came up with an extraordinary idea to delight the little ones. Arranged with the parents beforehand, one day during the stay, Santa and an Elf would appear on the doorstep of the onefinestay home with an interactive festive game for the children. The mission: to help piece together a map of the city so that they could ‘save’ Christmas and ensure all the presents could be delivered on time. This fun-filled experience even involved musical performances and immersive activities and definitely added a touch of festive magic for our little guests who took part.
A football fan’s fantasy
One of our guests visiting from the US and asked us to source some tickets for a football match during their stay so they could experience their first English soccer game. We found out they were a West Ham supporter and bagged them tickets to go and see a match against Brentford. Of course, their seats came with a great view and included complimentary half-time drinks, a VIP entrance and a special match-day programme with information about each side.
A piece of cake
One of our guests was travelling with her daughter, who was celebrating her 12th birthday during the stay. She specifically asked for gold and silver confetti balloons. Oh, and a pink cake. “Absolutely no problem!”, we said. We set off in search of the perfect balloons and cake. The guests arrived to the perfect surprise birthday scene (complete with Champagne for the grown-ups, of course) - one we’re sure her daughter will remember for years to come.
