Discover the endless charm of Ibiza

Abundant in white sand beaches, dazzling azure waters and enchanting coastal villages, there are endless reasons why Ibiza is such a desirable holiday destination. Effervescent and endlessly obliging, a trip to this hospitable isle will be everything you ever dreamed of and more.

One of the White Island's greatest strengths is its sheer versatility. Known as ‘the island of a thousand faces’, vivacious Ibiza has the uncanny ability to charm each and every one of its visitors, no matter their taste or style. From celebrities and party lovers to families and wellness aficionados, Ibiza can be every bit as glitzy, fun-filled or low key as you like, depending on where you look.

The onefinestay experience

At onefinestay, we understand that your holiday should be unique to you. Whether it’s booking you into the island’s best beach clubs or chartering a private yacht for you to catch the best sunset views, we’re here to ensure your holiday is every bit as unforgettable as it should be. Our selection of exclusive concierge services offers all you need to unwind and make the most of your beautiful Ibizan surroundings. After a busy day exploring, why not indulge in an in-home spa experience or have a private chef create a selection of mouthwatering dishes upon your return? We can plan these little extras for you before your arrival, so all you need to do is turn up, sit back, and enjoy.

Breathtaking beaches

If you fancy something a little less crowded than Las Salinas - one of the island’s most famous party beaches, where an eternal flock of young and beautiful sun-worshippers congregate - then Cala D'en Serra is the one for you. Set on the island’s north side, it’s a bit of an adventure to reach. But the bumpy drive and ten-minute walk are more than worth it for the reward of this pristine and, even more importantly, peaceful bay.

Over on the east side of Ibiza, Pou des Lleo is another of our all-time favourite spots. Framed by quaint little fishing huts, this romantic cove is characterised by its cosy atmosphere, comfy sun loungers and excellent restaurants - the ultimate recipe for a perfect beach day. Spend a blissful morning dozing in the golden sun, before tucking into a fresh fish lunch at Chiringuito Canal den Martí, a small and typically Spanish restaurant located right on the beachfront. Walk off your dinner with a little wander along the local coastline, admiring the dazzling azure water set against the rugged rocks of the cliffs.

The ideal spot for families, Cala Nova boasts a laidback, bohemian vibe. A favourite with the locals (always a good sign), the kids will love splashing around in the crystal clear water, whilst parents can sit back and relax on the silky soft white sand beach. Another good stretch of sand for families is Talamanca Beach. Cocooned between two headlands, the waters here are gentle and safe for children to play in, while the golden shore is peppered with endless bars and restaurants for any adults seeking refreshments to aid their relaxation endeavours.

A thousand activities...

With ‘a thousand faces’, it’s hardly surprising there's an endless supply of things to do and see in Ibiza. Whether you’re a dedicated sun-seeker, culture vulture, watersports aficionado or history lover, you’ll find plenty here to keep you as busy or relaxed as you like.

Ibiza’s coastline is incredibly picturesque, so what better way to appreciate it than by getting out on the water. Charter a private yacht, commandeer a fleet of kayaks or rent stand-up paddleboards and set off to explore the waves. Spend your day exploring the island’s endless hidden coves, pristine beaches and tiny outlying islets, before enjoying all the splendid colours of the sunset from your own secret lookout spot in the sea.

For those who prefer to keep their feet on terra firma, there are also endless activities to be found back on dry land. If you’d like to stretch your legs and breath in some fresh sea air then set off to the cliffs of Cala d'Hort for a stroll along the coastline. The towering height of the rocks offers breathtaking views over the pristine white sand and shimmering seascape. Reward your exertions with an extra special picnic. Simply pick your picnic style, name the spot and we will organise delivery and pick up of food, cushions and decoration.

Any history and culture buffs in the group will not want to miss the chance to visit the UNESCO world heritage site of Dalt Vila in Ibiza Town. Perched at the crest of a small mountain overlooking the ocean beyond, this beautiful ‘old town’ dates all the way back to 650 BC. Wander the ancient maze of alleys, stopping in at quirky art galleries, local artisanal boutiques and mouthwatering bakeries as you pass them by. A cool jug of sangria at one of the charm-drenched historic plazas is a must. As is visiting the stunning Ibiza Cathedral - an intricate Catalan Gothic structure dating back to the 14th century. Located at the highest point of the old town, your climb up will be rewarded by stunning views across the local landscape.

Foodie favourites

Good news for any gourmands in the group: as well as being breathtakingly beautiful and packed full of history and culture, Ibiza is also home to a thriving restaurant scene, characterised by a focus on local flavours, farm-to-table dining and the freshest seafood imaginable.

At the helm of Ibiza’s foodie movement is Es Tragon, the first restaurant on the island to receive a Michelin star. Housed in a traditional villa, surrounded by a fragrant pine forest, relax amidst the peaceful surroundings, while steadily working your way through a menu packed to the brim with fresh, creative dishes and excellent wines. Another key player in the Ibiza food scene is the delightful Es Torrent. Located on the soft sand of a calm and beautiful bay, here you can tuck into succulent seafood, watching as the cobalt waves caress the sand and the sea breeze ruffles the straw umbrellas.

A little more low key but no less excellent is The Giri Café. Set in a beautiful 300-year-old villa, you can choose whether to dine within the elegant whitewashed walls or al fresco amidst the foliage of the sun-kissed vegetable garden. If you’re lucky enough to get a table, then La Granja is an unmissable experience. Created by Claus Sendlinger, the founder of Design Hotels, and with Moorish-style interiors by Dreimeta architect Armin Fischer, this incredibly special spot surpasses even the wildest of imaginations. Serving up a menu of exquisite organic food, grown on the surrounding land, the atmosphere here is every bit as delicious as the menu. To visit, you have to become a member first; a fact which, if anything, adds to the distinct aura of authenticity and affability that characterises La Granja.

Chic beach bars

Try as you might, you really can’t visit Ibiza without stopping by at one of the island’s beautiful beach bars for a fresh juice, or something a little stronger. If you’re searching for a relaxed, barefoot chic vibe paired with expertly crafted cocktails then El Chiringuito is just the ticket. For those seeking a little more luxury, Amante is the spot. Tucked away on the clifftops above a hidden cove and surrounded by rugged rocks and lush greenery, this is certainly an idyllic setting to while away a balmy afternoon. Come dusk, Los Enamorados is the place to be. One of the very best spots on the island for sunsets. Watch as the sky transforms into a kaleidoscope of fiery ambers, pinks and golds and contemplate the perennial charm of this tiny, effervescent, incomparable isle. Ibiza certainly is the island of a thousand faces, with each face boasting a distinct beauty of its own.
