Going easy Stepping off the grid-plan avenues of the Upper West Side, you’ll arrive in Holmes Place II’s sitting room (one of two). A cluster of leather armchairs are surrounded on all sides by built-in bookshelves, and along the hallway is the second bedroom, with chalky-blue walls and a Murphy bed. There’s a pair of bunk beds in the toy-filled third bedroom, next door, and opposite is the master bedroom and its peach ensuite. The bathroom – at the end of the hallway – has hexagonal floor tiles and a Jacuzzi. Take the stairs to the right of the entrance to find the open-plan sitting room. A wall-mounted TV (with a picture frame) faces an L-shaped corner sofa in dark blue, and across the wooden flooring there’s a dining table with six high-backed chairs. On the right, the kitchen has a patterned marble splashback and granite-topped island, and on the left you’ll find doors leading out to the wraparound terrace.
