Knowing look In the learned Latin Quarter, Rue d'Ulm is smartly furnished. The entrance hall – on the fifth floor of a Haussmannian building – leads to the sitting room on the left, which has period wainscoting and a corniced ceiling. Across the herringbone floor, there’s a balcony in the dining room. And to the right of the entrance is the kitchen, which has a dining table of its own. Continue right and you’ll come to the bathroom, followed by the master bedroom, with its queen-size bed and antique ornamental fireplace. Azure walls and a colourful butterfly artwork catch the eye in the second bedroom, next door, and beyond is the third bedroom, another period-featured space with a single bed. At the end of the hallway, the shower room is sleekly contemporary.
