Against the backcloth of Bayswater, draped in boudoir prints, Queens Gardens III is dressed up to the nines. Contemporary textures and rich hues are teamed with a beloved old English theatricality, from the aged globe and vintage typewriter in the sitting room, to the chandelier in the bedroom. And if the secret of acting is to not trip over the furniture, you won’t have any trouble with the unmissable dressmaker’s mannequin or, come to that, the kaleidoscopic patchwork sofa.
Your hosts are a pair of actors who divide their time between London and Bath. They fought off stiff competition to land the starring role in transforming Queens Gardens III into a truly emotive pied-a-terre.
Here in Queens Gardens III the rooms are theatrically proportioned, the lines are crisp, the artwork is abstract and the cushions are as bright as a first-night bouquet. You might sit back before the crackling hearth, or seek the sleek, monochrome kitchen.
The master bedroom is particularly well-positioned – look to its adjoining courtyard for lazy afternoons, or freshen up in its Narnia-style hidden ensuite. And, when the time comes to stride through Hyde Park or light up the West End, you should emerge right on cue.
This home is on the lower ground floor and there are stairs to access the entrance door.
There is limited phone reception inside this home.
There is no door between the master bedroom and the ensuite.
There is no permanent hanging space in the second bedroom so we will provide a hanging rail for storage.
This home doesn't have air conditioning. Between June and September, we'll place fans in each bedroom. Please let us know if you'd like fans outside the summer period.
Cancellation. Provided you book more than 7 days before the start of your stay, you can cancel your booking within 24 hours and we’ll provide a full refund. Our flexible rate offers more flexibility for those who need it. Read our cancellation policy here. Please note bookings for Hamptons and French Riviera have a separate cancellation policy.
Check-in and check-out. We’ll meet you at the home at your convenience any time after 4PM on your arrival date, and our standard check-out time is 11AM. Early check-in and late check-out can be arranged in advance, subject to availability and a charge.
Lead guest. The lead guest must be at least 25 years of age.
I.D. check and card authorisation. When you arrive we’ll check the lead guest’s I.D. and secure a £1,000 hold on a credit or debit card which will be released once we confirm no damage was caused during your stay.
Smoking. Guests are not permitted to smoke inside any onefinestay home.
Cleaning. We carefully clean and prepare each home before you arrive and after you depart, and for stays longer than seven days we provide a complimentary weekly Housekeeping service. More frequent Housekeeping visits can be arranged on request, subject to availability and a charge.
Payment. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express, and bank transfers for stays with at least 7 days’ notice.
