Vail is one of the premier ski resorts in the USA. It’s a quaint town with plenty of character, a strong sense of community and a warm welcome for visitors. Many of the buildings have a European alpine feel. During the summer, Vail is home to lovers of the great outdoors, including golfers, hikers, fishermen and women who go after the trout that teem in the local rivers. With gourmet restaurants and many independent stores, Vail is more than just superb black diamond runs and powder snow.

Every element of Sunburst Drive has been carefully thought through from the marble countertops in the professional-standard kitchen to the on-trend, Scandinavian-style furniture in the living area. Little pops of colour work beautifully against the neutral palette and, combined with the sculptural elements and fine artwork, give every part of this sublime home a real personality.

The six bedrooms follow the same themes, creating an effortless flow throughout the chalet and bringing soothing, restful concepts into each room. The master bedroom features a spacious king-size bed, while two more guest rooms have cosy queen-size beds. Two additional rooms have three twins each and are ideal for younger guests or family groups, while the final bedroom has two twin beds. All the bedrooms have ensuites, so nobody has to wait for the shower in the morning.

During winter, you’re just a short bus ride to the gondola and the magnificent slopes and multiple runs at Eagle’s Nest. During the summer, it’s time to break out the mountain bikes and explore paths that will take you through wildflower meadows and along challenging trails. Add an indulgent hot tub, a theatre room for family movie night, and an office space where you can download those Instagram snaps, and you have yourself an idyllic mountain escape in glorious surroundings.
