Bendega Nui is a magnificent mansion composed of rich wood floors, wide-open spaces and soaring ceilings encasing high-end furnishings and gorgeous antiques. The main living area is a gloriously grand space with walls of golden-hued sandstone and glass that opens completely to the fresh, fragrant air. Black teak sofas and tables provided a sumptuous seating area, their dramatic hues offset by traditional ikat textiles. Antique carved panels stand guard over an exquisite table, crafted from an ancient canoe, and the columns frame views across the rolling rice fields. The stately dining room boasts a huge 20-seat Merbau dining table and the games room features a fabulous pool table and a range of games all enclosed in shining walls of glass. There's a smart modern kitchen for fixing up a drink and SONOS sound system throughout to keep everyone entertained.

The five delectable ensuite bedrooms are tranquil havens of style and comfort with each boasting their own balcony, terrace or private garden. The three master suites all have four-poster king beds, swathed in white drapery, resting on gorgeous floors of rich wood. The first master is in its own pavilion for extra privacy and has a large dressing area and lavish bathroom with a sunken double tub and grand shower area. The second master offers a super-sized tub overlooking the gardens, a dressing area, a daybed on the terrace and a personal study, fully-equipped, whilst the third master has a delightful ocean-view tub and balcony with a daybed. Two twin suites make charming dens for kids or can convert to kings.

Bendega Rato is entered through spectacular, antique Javanese doors which lead you into the glorious, vaulted living area which looks out across the serene gardens. Teak furnishings, joyful pops of colour and an ornately carved antique ‘rice house’ on the wall provide an aura of supreme style. A media room is packed with state-of-the-art equipment, including TV and SONOS sound system. The three master suites feature sumptuous four-poster beds and gorgeous, capacious bathrooms. Best of all is the incredible rooftop sunset terrace where an enchanting balé frames panoramic views of those legendary skies.

The one-bedroom pavilion is its own master suite, tucked away in perfect privacy within a walled garden, with its own balé, sundeck and a plunge pool.
