This exceptional five-bedroom villa nestles in the blissful serenity of a bend in the River Pangi. Welcoming up to ten people, this exquisite villa is a dynamic fusion of traditional Balinese design and contemporary sophistication. Despite being just a 25-minute drive from bustling Seminyak and only five minutes from the iconic Echo Beach, Villa Mata Air is a secluded hideaway for that perfect tropical escape.

Echo Beach has been described as one of the most idyllic beaches in the world. Famous for its surf and sunsets, this sweep of golden sand is still surprisingly authentic despite its fame as a world-class surfing destination. There are plenty of surf schools lining the beach that will be only too happy to show you the ropes. Your dedicated concierge can arrange lessons for the whole family. They can also make reservations for that post-surf sunset meal on the beach at one of the many restaurants.

Villa Mata Air utilises classical Balinese architectural motifs to create a fluid indoor-outdoor living experience. As soon as you step through the Angkul-Angkul (a traditional Balinese gate), you instantly know this place is exceptional. The villa is separated into individual pavilions to provide additional privacy. The Central Bale is where you'll find the lounge area and the ultra-modern kitchen decorated in a simple yet elegant style. The open nature of the villa allows the sights, sounds and smells of the garden and that beautiful babbling river to filter through, making this a delight for all the senses.

Take a stroll out along the covered walkways and you come to the sleeping pavilions, with two twin-bed pavilions and two primary suites with king-size beds. Each pavilion has a distinctive character, with one of the primary suites equipped with a media room and a secret garden, and the other with a pampering massage area. Walk further down the garden towards the river bank and a fifth double-bed pavilion awaits you, complete with an ensuite bathroom and private living area.

The views from every aspect of this villa in Bali are magical, and the garden is home to a sparkling infinity pool and beautifully manicured natural pools fed by the springs that bubble up.
