St James lives up to its name as the ‘Platinum Coast’. The simplicity of an unspoilt beach lapped by turquoise waters is complemented by fine dining, exceptional facilities and high-end shopping of the highest order. St James is a historically important part of the island, and there are plenty of opportunities to explore its heritage. Golfers will love the exceptional courses in this part of the island, while water sports fans have a huge selection of activities to try, including kayaking, diving, sailing and paddleboarding.

Blue Oyster manages to achieve a symbiotic blend of opulence and relaxation. The open-plan living area is dominated by the breathtaking view visible from the floor-to-ceiling glass wall that opens fully to connect the interior to the sunny terrace outside. Harmony and balance are the dominant themes throughout, from the meticulously designed living area to the tranquil bedrooms. The kitchen is professional standard, and delicious meals are served either in the formal dining area or, more often, al fresco. Stay on track with your fitness in the fully-equipped gym, or soothe aching muscles in the sauna.

The five bedrooms are individually decorated to create an authentic boutique feel but with a more complex and sophisticated modernist twist. The king-size beds are deliciously comfortable, while large windows and patio doors open onto sunny private terraces and staggeringly beautiful ocean views. The bedrooms each have an attractive ensuite with indulgent soak tubs and rainfall showers.

Outside, the star of the show is the stunning pool. It's the ideal spot for a few early-morning laps or a mid-afternoon cooling dip, surrounded by lush gardens and with a poolside gazebo to provide a bit of welcome shade.
