A sun-kissed sanctuary on the west coast of Barbados, Bohemia invites up to 16 guests to savour a refined slice of island life. Part of the gated Sandy Lane Estate resort, this opulent villa with sublime ocean views places you close to high-end amenities and pristine tropical beaches.

The Sandy Lane Estate is just a few minutes’ drive from vibrant Holetown – a quintessentially Caribbean beach town, full of bustling street markets, live music, and exceptionally good food (a supper of flying fish by the ocean is a must). Holetown is home to three malls, including the Limegrove Lifestyle Centre where you can enjoy a spot of designer shopping. Answer the call of the island’s sparkling turquoise waters, paddling around the local coves on kayaks or snorkelling among the glittering shoals as you try to spot one of the local turtles.

Cool, contemporary coastal design defines the sophisticated interiors of Bohemia. A grand open-plan living room charms with sweeping white walls, marble floors, regal columns, and a grand piano. Mix a cocktail at the bar then enjoy a game of billiards before supper. Preparing island feasts for your large group is a cinch in the modern kitchen. Share meals at the handsome mahogany table in the formal dining room, or take leisurely suppers al fresco, on the dining terrace.

The main villa offers seven immaculately presented bedrooms, each thoughtfully designed with your comfort in mind. There are two spacious ocean vista primary suites, each with a king-size bed and two ensuites. There is also a king-size bedroom, two queen-size bedrooms, and a twin room, each with a lovely garden view and a spa-style ensuite with rainfall showers. The final bedroom is located in Dome Cottage within the grounds. Its king-size bed is set beneath a stunning night sky fresco in the domed roof.

Bohemia sits on two acres of lush tropical grounds, where green monkeys swing through the trees and ocean breezes set the palms swaying. Feel the stresses and strains melt away as you unwind on the sumptuously furnished terrace, looking across the infinity pool to the azure horizon beyond.
