Set in two acres of lush, tropical gardens, this beachfront villa combines the beauty of Barbadian nature with a celebration of the finer things. The central atrium opens out into a spacious covered terrace with dining areas, beyond which lies the charming curves of the swimming pool. Flower-strewn trellises mark the entranceways and the sunbathing area and gardens provide numerous spaces for private contemplation or an idle afternoon spent soaking up the rays.
The three air-conditioned ensuite bedrooms are all uniquely and beautifully decorated and each marble bathroom is adorned with a spectacular crystal chandelier. The master bedroom opens onto its own trellised sitting area with flatscreen TV and a further formal dining room, decorated in the greatly prized Rococo style, offers up a real taste of glamour through its classical statues and stunning antique marble dining table.
Located only four minutes from historic Speightstown, Leamington Pavilion is its own slice of history having been bought by the Heinz family, who then commissioned Messel to design the building we see today. Messel’s influence can further be seen in the two enchanting gazebos which are painted ‘Messel Green’, but which were themselves designed by revered local architect Larry Warren and completed with stunning copper chandeliers by local craftsman James Barrow.
The bewitching nature of Leamington Pavilion makes it well worth the 42 minutes from the airport and, once arrived, the gorgeous St Peter’s Bay Beach is only two minutes away and offers the chance to snorkel over the corals, spot some turtles or simply relax on the 200ft of ivory sands. Golfers will be deeply content with Sandy Lane, Royal Westmoreland and Apes Hill courses lying all within 20 minutes' drive and Speightstown itself offers boutique shopping, fine dining and a vibrant nightlife. Back at the pavilion, the team of dedicated and experienced staff (including a butler, chef and nightwatchman) are available to cater to your every need.
Leamington Pavilion is perhaps one of the very few homes whose beauty, splendour and enchantment can claim rivalry with the wonders of the natural world that surrounds it making a stay in this pearl of artistry and history a truly special and unforgettable experience.
