Hummingbird House has incredible views – and knows it. One of the private Tryall Club estate’s higher-situated villas, this sprawling residence overlooks lush mountains, pristine fairways and brilliant, yacht-dotted Caribbean Sea waters. Every wide doorway frames this vista, while the home’s fantastic, 15-metre infinity pool is positioned to maximise it.

Four acres of beautifully manicured gardens flank that pool, as various breezy decks containing comfortable loungers and chairs cascade up towards the main dining terrace. Here, the villa’s dedicated chef could serve you fresh lobster or grilled jerk chicken as sunsets rouge the ocean. Inside is a sprawling lounge, its long sofas and 70” HD television arranged below a high ceiling, and then the dining room, cocktail bar and pool table.

Featuring lots of dark wood amid stark white walls, the design continues into seven ensuite bedrooms – three in the main house, and another four across two adjoining cottages. One of the master suites boasts its own private plunge pool, and the other a soaking tub with more magnificent ocean views. Most rooms include an outdoor shower and some may be split into twins should children be staying.

Hummingbird House’s butler can make bookings for Tryall’s championship golf course, tennis courts, watersports and beach club (golf buggies are available to get you around), advise about its kids’ activities or recommend day-trips to the likes of Ocho Rios.
