Peeniwalli is a gorgeous four-bedroomed beachfront villa that welcomes up to eight guests. A dazzling backdrop of pure blue ocean, brilliant sunshine and sugar-soft white sand paints a perfect picture of an idyllic Jamaican island retreat where time slows down. Peeniwalli is where you spend your days sitting underneath the dappled shade of a palm tree, sipping a rum cocktail and simply drifting away.

Treasure Beach is aptly-named. Often referred to as 'the last of old Jamaica', it has a charming authenticity where traditional community values and the modern world meet and merge. This part of the island's south coast has been developed sympathetically and is lined with beautifully designed beach villas and restaurants, boutiques and wooden cottages. A myriad of attractions could see you trekking through a verdant rainforest one day or taking a Black River safari the next.

Peeniwalli captures that bohemian spirit integral to South Beach and enhances it with exclusive touches and opulent finery. Meals are cooked in the professional standard kitchen and served either al fresco on the patio or at the elegant dining table. The living areas are refined spaces where you can curl up with a good book or a movie. But outdoors, you'll spend most of your time on Peeniwalli's expansive patio beside the infinity pool or a few steps away on the private beach.

The four bedrooms also embrace that indoor-outdoor principle with shaded balconies and a natural transition between interior and exterior spaces. The Starlight master bedroom has a king-size bed, panoramic views of the ocean and mountains, a wrap-around balcony, and an outdoor shower. Dragonfly and Firefly both have king-size beds and access to the outdoor pergola, while Sweet Tree has a full-size bed and ocean patio brightened with local artwork and classic Jamaican wooden window louvres.

Stroll back out to the bar area and let your butler mix you up a cocktail, or rise early and salute the sun in the ultimate dawn yoga session on a deserted beach. Peeniwalli is everything you could wish for in a tropical island escape that will soothe mind, body and soul.
