Hugged by large tropical gardens, the villa features numerous places to meet and make merry: a bay-facing infinity pool and its sunset deck, the neighbouring Jacuzzi, outdoor sofas, loungers, a dining gazebo built into coral rocks and, in a segregated cottage, a U-shaped sofa, bar and an 80-inch TV. Surround-sound and wifi are also present throughout.

Best of all, you needn’t lift a finger. Villa Following Seas has its own dedicated staff, including a personal chef who’ll cook marvellous local or international dishes whenever desired and housekeepers to clean or launder. The villa’s dedicated butler, meanwhile, will tell you about Tryall’s facilities – tennis courts, celebrated golf, watersports, a beach club, live evening shows – and send you whizzing off in golf buggies.

The villa’s striking interiors combine classical Jamaican architecture with homeliness and glamour.
