Elegance and space abound at Villa Sea Salt, a single-floor, family-friendly villa within the Tryall Club resort. Embellishing the villa’s series of pastel-shade pavilions are mahogany flooring, marble tops, lush plants and travertine tiles; all the while, fold-away glass doors and pitched ceilings ensure an airy feel. That includes across five broad bedrooms, each of which boasts a private patio. Two of those private quarters also interconnect to suit the parents of young kids; another pair include exotic outdoor showers and freestanding tubs.

Equally relaxing are the informal sitting room – complete with high-quality electronics and a telescope for stargazers – and the group dining room. The latter opens onto a wide terrace with the heated, 20-metre pool beckoning ahead. To one side is a covered pavilion encouraging outdoor meals and sofas on which to admire sunsets and the sea views. Then begin Villa Sea Salt’s landscaped gardens, whose five acres swathe both a shuffleboard court and a mammoth putting green.

Accompanying the villa are seven superb staff members, including a veteran chef who’ll cook high-end meals from your favourite cuisines whenever fancied. You get a butler too, one able to book massages, arrange visits to Tryall’s championship golf course, beach club, kids’ club, watersports facilities, live shows and tennis courts – two golf buggies are provided to help you vroom about – or suggest day-trips to other Montego Bay highlights.
