Oakington Road is a fabulous five bedroom home in the charming district of Maida Vale. Renowned for its leafy walkways lining the Little Venice waterway and its elegant rows of traditional Victorian homes, it certainly feels worlds away from the hustle and bustle of Central London. Of course, if you do feel like heading into Westminster or Kensington for a day of sightseeing and shopping in the city, the nearest tube station - Warwick Avenue - is less than a 15-minute walk away.

This gorgeous home offers a wonderful setting for family holidays, comfortably accommodating up to seven guests in total. The heart of the home is the cosy sitting room, set on the lower ground floor. Here, beautiful art pieces line the walls and a Baldwin piano sits in the corner. Plush sofas and chairs invite you to sink into them after a busy day, and to the right, a sunny courtyard garden gives the option of alfresco dining in the warmer months.

A spacious open-plan kitchen and diner offers plenty of room to prepare family meals together, before settling down to enjoy a feast around the dining table every evening. When you’re ready to call it a night, you’ll have the choice of the master bedroom or the second bedroom - both of which have super king-sized beds and ensuites. The three remaining rooms have a single bed each, making them ideal for children.

If the sun is shining, it’s certainly worth taking a stroll along the scenic banks of the canal. Along the way, you’ll find an excellent choice of cafes and restaurants featuring everything from Peruvian to classic European fare.
