Behind a grand, white-pillared facade, stairs lead up to Orsett Terrace’s first-floor front door. Beyond it you’ll find this home’s open-plan living area to the left, a place that’s smart but also cosy. To the right of the door is a sitting area, where fur and velvet throws top the sofas, and artworks decorate the pale-painted walls. Opposite is the dining area, lit by copper-coloured hanging lamps, and the contemporary kitchen.

Back in the hallway, a corridor leads to the twin bedroom and main bathroom (with a bath and integrated shower). Along here is the master bedroom, where sleek details – the subtle colour palette, the ensuite’s smoked-glass shower – are enlivened by a collection of still life paintings. And outside? The area is a lively contrast to this poised home, with bustling shops and diverse eateries aplenty.

A fantastic flat in London - beautifully decorated and immaculately cleaned. Our greeter was so helpful, carried the bags up the stairs and was incredibly friendly. Marta in the guest services was the best however -- when heating wasn't working she sent a team over to fix it and then sent a lovely gift basket to apologize. Best service and I will never use Airbnb again :-)
