Once just a sleepy little town on the outskirts of LA, today it's a vibrant and energetic place that embraces that typical Californian passion for life, the outdoors, and simply having a good time. From early-morning surfing on the beach to late-night dining in some of the most exclusive restaurants in the state, Venice is colourful, joyful, and packed with things to see and do.

Every element of Grayson Avenue works harmoniously. Comfort and a relaxed, genial atmosphere are enhanced in the sitting room by gloriously indulgent plush furnishings and bespoke artwork. A glass wall that can be fully opened allows the soft sunlight and sea breeze to waft in, cooling and brightening the space and imbuing it with that golden Californian glow. A hidden projector turns the living room into a home theatre, with a 9ft-wide screen for those popcorn-and-movie nights in. A delightful kitchen has every appliance you could wish for, and is accompanied by a breakfast bar. The dining area is intimate and cosy – just right for that dinner party with friends. If you have to get some work done, a private office in the garden provides you with peace, quiet, minimal distractions, and a high-speed internet connection.

The three sumptuous bedrooms include two queen-size bedrooms with a shared bathroom, and a primary suite with a spacious king-size bed. The primary suite benefits from a spa-style ensuite, and also has a private terrace where you can sip your early-morning coffee in the sunshine and plan the day's itinerary surrounded by the villa's lush garden. In that enchanting garden, you'll find an outdoor shower, a heated pool, and a shady spot for a touch of al fresco dining.

Home Truths

* This home has an open swimming pool without a fence accessible via the front door and living room sliding door. There is, however, a pool cover.

* Since the onefinestay photoshoot, the living room sofa has been replaced with a different one.

* The fireplace in the master bedroom upstairs is strictly ornamental and not for use. The fireplace in the living room however is functional.

* The shower located upstairs on the 2nd level does not have a shower door or curtain.

* This home is spread over multiple levels with no internal elevator.

* There are no TVs in the home, instead there is a TV projector in the sitting room where you can access Cable TV and streaming services.

* There are two exterior gated parking spaces available at the rear of the home.

* The office is located in a detached separate space at the front of the home.

* The treehouse structure in the garden is off-limits.

* This home is a much loved family home and you may see some signs of wear on the stairwell and around the home.
