Vibrant décor, sweeping vistas, and total privacy make Via Vallarta the ultimate Encino Hills escape. The seven-bedroom villa sits within the iconic Lewis-Loughrey Estate, famed for its modernist, mid-century styling and seamless indoor-outdoor aesthetic.

Via Vallarta perches on the northern end of Encino Hills – one of the most upscale neighbourhoods in the San Fernando Valley. Dramatic canyons and lush green hillsides surround the peaceful location, yet it's also just a short drive from the shops, bars and dining venues of Sherman Oaks.

You'll instantly be awe-struck by Via Vallarta when you enter its gates. The entire villa was designed in the 1970s by famed architect Donald G. Park and is comprised of three 12-sided buildings, each positioned to make the most of the views. The living space sits in the main single-storey structures and is open plan, with soaring ceilings and a majestic mix of architectural features.

At the centre is a one-of-a-kind fireplace with sunken circular seating ideal for cosy nights. The central space flows through to a larger lounge space with its own fireplace and an indoor bar enveloped by floor-to-ceiling windows. You'll also spot a games room in the garage, perfect for keeping children occupied. Feel like cooking? The brightly-coloured kitchen is fully equipped with all the best appliances. Dine in one of two indoor dining spaces or step outside onto the patio.

A good night's sleep is easy in the villa's seven bedrooms which are spread out across the two remaining buildings, with five nestled in one structure and two tucked away in the guest building. All are unique in décor and flow beautifully with the rest of the villa's aesthetic. Six bedrooms feature plush king-size beds, while the seventh offers a plump queen. The guest rooms both benefit from ensuites, while there's a choice of two stylish shared bathrooms in the other building. The guest building also has an upstairs living space with a gourmet kitchen, a lounge and a wraparound balcony.

Via Vallarta's outstanding garden is undoubtedly its crowning glory. The vast space features a glorious swimming pool surrounded by a bubbling hot tub and several tranquil seating areas. Not just sublime spots for relaxation, they also make the villa a wonderful place to entertain guests.
