Rue de Bourgogne
Welcomes: Babies, Children, Toddlers, Pets
1 King, 4 Single. Bed size chart
While the Eiffel Tower may dominate this part of the city, there are plenty of other attractions to explore here too. A stroll through Les Invalides or the nearby l’École Militaire for a glimpse into France’s military history. A walk along the banks of the River Seine is a must, especially on a sunny Sunday afternoon when you’ll find caricature artists plying their trade to passing tourists. The Museum d’Orsay is definitely on the to-see list, as is a trip to one of the world’s great shopping experiences, Le Bon Marché. Throw in delightful cafés, typically French bistros and plenty of boutique shopping and you have a truly memorable city break.
The key to Rue de Bourgogne success is the sympathetic way that a modern décor has been superimposed into a traditional Parisian apartment. The combination works beautifully, with a neutral palette allowing the home’s individuality to shine through. The living room is light, bright and airy, while the dining room works within the open-plan aesthetic without overwhelming it. The kitchen uses bright blue tiles to offset the simple white walls. A flight of stairs from the living area takes you up to the main bathroom, with a free-standing soak tub and basin.
Head down a flight of spiral stairs from the living area and you come to the lower level, where you’ll find the bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, while the two remaining bedrooms have trundle beds that can be extended into doubles. There is also a second bathroom on the lower level with a shower and a separate WC and basin. This home is on the fourth floor and is reached by elevator. With city views, a boho feel and packed full of unique features, this French home is welcoming, warm, and definitely an elegant touch.
