And its imaginative flourishes – bright-hued walls, diaphanous drapes and glittering chandeliers – add a sparkling touch. The striking living area is this home’s focal point, where there are ornate antiques and wide French doors framing views of the traditional streets below – and you can take it all in from the modish white sofa opposite.

* This home does not accept toddlers.
