Once owned by a famous Hollywood filmmaker, this nine-bedroom villa sits above a white-sand beach on the Bay of Banderas and has verdant gardens and stunning sea views. At Casa Septiembre, a whole mix of design elements come together to form a unique holiday hideaway; think polished concrete floors, Moroccan antiques, Turkish rugs, Art Deco details and a rustic hacienda style.

The pool terrace is a highlight – as well as a large pool, you’ll find a thatched tropical cabana with a barbecue and bar for leisurely al fresco drinking and dining. Inside, there’s a homely lounge and a fully-equipped kitchen. To make a stay here extra relaxing, the villa comes with a team of staff. There’s a waiter to serve up refreshing poolside drinks, and in-villa spa treatments and private yoga classes can also be arranged.

All of the spacious bedrooms have their own ensuite bathroom. Bedroom one is on the main level with a terrace, while bedrooms seven, eight and nine are on the lower level. The rest of the bedrooms – a mix of suites, king and twin rooms – are on the upper floors. With its Playa Conchas Chinas location, Casa Septiembre is just a 15-minute walk along a scenic beach path from downtown Puerto Vallarta, with its cobblestone streets, white-washed houses, restaurants and shops; perfect for an exclusive stay with easy access to local amenities.
