This sums up Caramba – an idyllic two-bedroomed escape surrounded by lush green hills on St. Barts' desirable Pointe Milou. Combining traditional island architecture with modern convenience, its whitewashed interior is enlivened by bespoke artwork and, of course, those incredible views. Simple yet elegant, it welcomes up to four guests for year-round vacations in the sun.

Point Milou is one of St. Barts' more tranquil locations. A residential area that's retained its authenticity and unspoilt beauty, it is home to some of the island's finest villas. The sense of peace here is food for the soul, as the sound of the ocean underscores the whisper of the breeze through the trees. Nearby restaurants allow you to try new and exciting cuisine with a distinctly unique St. Barts touch. French and Afro-Caribbean cuisines blend to produce a spicy, flavoursome Creole menu. Seafood is - naturally - at the top of the menu, and when available, St. Barts lobster is unrivalled for its flavour. Everything is accompanied by potent rum, distilled on the island and served as feisty cocktails known as Ti’punch.

Caramba takes you back to a slower pace of life. The interior is the ultimate in beach-hut chic, with large ceiling fans, high whitewashed ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows that open onto a spacious deck. The living area combines wicker furniture with neutral textiles, as nothing should detract from that incredible view. The kitchen has everything you need to rustle up some Creole food of your own, served in the al fresco dining area under the stars. The two bedrooms both have king-size beds and ensuite bathrooms.

Outside, a sunny terrace is dominated by a large pool, surrounded by a terraced garden that creates a private retreat. Steps lead down to the dramatic coast below. Caramba provides couples and small groups a chance to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, slow down, and relax under the Caribbean sun.
