Perhaps the biggest draw for visitors to St Barts is the island's amazing 37 beaches. Grand Cul-de-Sac is one of the best, showcasing that typical Caribbean beach scene we all dream of. A sweep of golden sand leads down towards a calm bay that's perfect for swimming and water sports. This family-friendly beach is ideal for younger travellers who want to paddle in the shallows. After a busy day on the beach, local restaurants are filled with dishes that will tantalise your tastebuds. St Barts' food is heavily influenced by Creole, such as salt cod fritters with a hot pepper dipping sauce that's an explosion of flavours. Cool things down with a rum cocktail made with coconut and lime juice or a chilled glass of Chardonnay.
Villa Essenia uses modern architectural motifs and bespoke furnishings and combines those with rustic, island-authentic touches, such as the high vaulted ceilings and the use of rattan and natural wood throughout. The living area is spacious and leads out onto the large sun terrace. A fully fitted kitchen has everything the discerning chef needs to rustle up some tasty treats served at the one-of-a-kind wooden dining table on the covered terrace. The magnificent master bedroom is located in the main villa and has a king-size bed and ensuite, along with serene views of the lagoon. Bedroom two in the villa has a king-size bed, while bedroom three has two twin beds. The gorgeous fourth bedroom occupies a private bungalow away from the main villa for total privacy and has a king-size bed, a private kitchen and dining space, ensuite bathroom and a private terrace.
A villa in St Barts isn't complete without a large swimming pool and Villa Essenia ticks that particular box with a heated infinity pool surrounded by a large sun terrace. An outdoor lounge is just the spot to relax in the evening, accompanying the spectacular sunset with a bottle of wine, some accras fritters to snack on, and the company of good friends and family.
