While many villas on St. Barts adopt a more traditional style, Indyana is different. This contemporary masterpiece is a chic, three-bedroomed villa that welcomes up to six guests with understated elegance and a minimalist style. Clean and uncluttered, its refinement means that the spectacular views seen from every window take centre stage.

St. Barts may be one of the smaller islands of the Caribbean, but this little piece of land surrounded by azure oceans manages to pack in plenty of personality. The island is a French territory, so you’ll hear French spoken more than English. It has that laid-back Caribbean feel but with a splash of Gallic sophistication. This is particularly noticeable in its cuisine, which combines the two culinary cultures and mixes them up to create a unique take on Creole that’ll surprise you. St. Barts Creole is spicier than the food you'll find on the neighbouring islands and utterly delicious. Start simple with accras, which are salted cod fritters served with a fiery dipping sauce. Cool your tastebuds after those spices with Ti'punch, a rum cocktail made with lemon juice and cane sugar.

From every window and doorway at Indyana, you'll look out across the island's lush green interior. The cool palette of charcoal and slate greys makes the view stand out. Furnishings in the great room are designed for maximum comfort, with little pops of colour from the textiles and bespoke artwork. The kitchen is sleek and stocked with professional standard appliances to delight any budding chef. The three bedrooms are split between two master bedrooms in the main villa, both offering king-size beds and a separate studio with its own king-size bed and ensuite.

On the terrace, the main dining area forms part of the indoor/outdoor living experience. You’ll also find couches and sunbeds spread out so you can enjoy the sun or chat with a coffee in the shade. A large infinity edge pool is the ideal spot for a few early-morning laps or for gazing out across those tropical island views at sunset. Indyana offers guests privacy and a relaxed ambience and is one of the more unusual modern villas on this stunning island.
