Tucked away in a secluded spot in Marigot is villa La Isla, a five-bedroom villa that welcomes up to ten guests. Surrounded by gardens and with a stunning view of the bay, this villa makes a perfect destination for families who want to enjoy the peace of this laid-back island. The contemporary style sits easily within the landscape, thanks to the use of natural materials and soft, muted colours. Refined and blissfully relaxed, the villa is a tranquil getaway on one of the Caribbean's most beautiful islands.

St Barts is renowned for its sandy beaches, pristine water, and easy-going lifestyle. An eclectic fusion of Afro-Caribbean and French cultures, it takes life at a gentler pace, encouraging you to slow down and rediscover the joy in every day. From a Creole meal that's an explosion of tastes to catching the Trade Winds on the ocean in a yacht, St Barts encourages you to make the most of life. Make sure you check out some of the local harbourside restaurants serving that day's catch of mahi-mahi and red snapper, fried and served with some hot pepper sauces.

La Isla is built over two levels and uses an open-plan design to allow the breeze to flow through each room. The high vaulted ceilings are a feature of St Barts architecture, giving the large living area a sense of space. The kitchen is well stocked with the latest appliances, and an intimate dining room is just right for an evening meal. However, if you want to eat under the stars, there's plenty of space for al fresco dining on the wooden decking, complete with superb views of the hills and Marigot Bay. The bedrooms are split across the two levels, with most of them situated on the lower level. All have king-size beds and ensuite bathrooms, office areas with WiFi, and access to the terraces.

Outside, a translucent blue pool invites you to dive in and cool off at the end of the day or start the morning with a few laps. There is private parking at the front of the villa, and tropical plants create a little green oasis around the terraces. La Isla is a delightful villa that brings you a little closer to that idyllic island lifestyle you've always wanted.
