St Martin has a split personality, divided between French and Dutch influences. That makes this delightful island unique, and its culture and cuisine are enticingly different from anything you'll find on any of its neighbours. Picture snow-white sand beaches, sparkling blue ocean and swaying palm trees and you have the quintessential Caribbean paradise. Explore the tropical waters surrounding the island on a private boat tour arranged by your dedicated concierge, stopping off to snorkel and marvel at the colourful coral and its inhabitants. The cooking is Creole-influenced, making copious use of the ocean's resources, so expect everything from conch and red snapper to marlin and lobster on the menu.

Villa Coco Paillette utilises contemporary Caribbean chic in its architecture and is typical of the best St Martin villas that you'll find in this part of the island. Vaulted ceilings create a sense of space, and a wonderfully fluid indoor-outdoor transition takes you from the main living area to the sunkissed terrace. The large glass doors create an organic flow between the spaces, inviting a cool breeze into the villa. The kitchen is bespoke and fitted with every appliance a discerning chef could wish for, while the dining area is intimate and cosy. Alternatively, you can choose to dine al fresco under the twinkling stars.

The four bedrooms provide a haven of peace at the end of the day. Soft tones and simple yet elegant furnishings fill the rooms with a serenity that lulls you into a deep, restful sleep. The primary suite has a king-size bed and an attractive ensuite bathroom. The remaining three bedrooms have king-size beds and ensuite bathrooms, with stunning views of the garden and pool terrace.
