Breckenridge, or ‘Breck’ to the locals, is a charming town with a long and (very) rich history. This mountain town was built on the proceeds of the silver and gold mines during the Pike Peak gold rush of 1859. Today, its streets are lined with heritage houses and beautifully preserved store frontages that are now home to gourmet restaurants and independent boutiques. The town has a friendly feeling, making visitors feel part of the community from the moment they arrive.

From its lavish living areas to the spacious bedrooms, Mountain Kingdom is all about comfort and relaxation. The Great Room sees plush leather furniture clustered around a crackling fire surrounded by a signature stone wall and massive beam lintel. The huge windows give you an uninterrupted view of the mountain vistas. The open-plan design allows guests to socialise during mealtimes, with an elegant dining area close to the well-appointed kitchen. A games room keeps everyone entertained during the evening, or you can step outside onto the patio and look for shooting stars in the crystal-clear night sky. Three of the five bedrooms have sumptuous king-size beds. Another bedroom has a king-size bed and 3 twin beds, while the remaining has two queens and two twins, making these cosy family rooms. Each of the bedrooms has plenty of character, utilising organic elements such as honey-coloured timber and hewn stone with earthy tones to create restful spaces.

Outside, a large decked area is home to the al fresco dining space, complete with a gas BBQ and a wonderful fire pit in the garden that makes you feel like you're camping out in the wilds.
