Resting on the outskirts of historic Florence, Feronia nestles amongst the glorious nature its namesake goddess would approve of and yet is close to everything for which you could wish. The airport is just 15 minutes away and less than 15 minutes will see you to the heart of Florence itself. The estate forms part of the village of Bottai and so there are restaurants and shops within walking distance. When you feel like exploring further, the famous Chianti wine region is within easy reach; and Lucca and Siena are each less than one hour away.
Feronia is formed of five buildings, spread amongst glorious gardens, and with a history spanning back to the fourteenth century. The style throughout is classical Tuscan chic, which combines wide walls of delicate hues, soaring arches and French doors, and wonderful antique furnishings. Each building is its own complete haven featuring a living area, fully-equipped kitchen and grander halls where everyone can gather.
Every one of the elegant rooms is steeped in splendour, with wonderfully aged parquet floors, magnificent stone fireplaces and spectacular wooden-beamed ceilings. Other rooms boast glorious curving brick ceilings that give that feeling of a secret vault and yet are still flooded with light. There's also a home gym and an utterly wonderful spa room with cascading waterfall, massage tables, Turkish bath, sauna and hot tub all lit with a delicious glowing ambience.
With room for 38 people, Feronia is ideal for a very special occasion. The delightful bedrooms are split across the main villa and four annexes and boast fabulous vaulted or painted ceilings and clean white walls. Almost all are ensuite with sumptuous marble-clad bathrooms and capacious showers or tubs. The main villa provides six king suites: Annexe A has two king and one queen suite, Annexe B offers three kings, Annexe C hosts three kings and a queen and Annexe D provides a final three king suites. All the bedrooms are air-conditioned and have walk-in closets and all the kings can convert to twins if required. Daily continental breakfast is also included as the perfect wake-up to a wonderful night's sleep.
Outside lie stunning grounds of manicured gardens and mesmerising wilderness. Exploring the estate, you will come across the peaceful pond, stately oak and cypress trees, whispering olive groves or a sun-bathed vineyard. Everywhere, you will certainly find incredible views of the endless countryside and, a truly special sight, the towers of Florence and its awe-inspiring cathedral, the Duomo.
Nearer to home are two beautiful swimming pools, one of which is a dazzling infinity pool that can be heated on request. Flowers burst from carefully crafted ornate gardens so that the air is filled with a delicate fragrance.
