Head to Ponte a Moriano, a half-hour drive away, to sample some of the best food in the province. Why not ask your dedicated concierge to make a reservation at the town's Michelin-starred restaurant? Scale the Renaissance city walls of ancient Lucca, walking or cycling around its four-kilometre perimeter, admiring the delightful cityscape below. Once a Roman amphitheatre, the Piazza dell'Anfiteatro makes a wonderful spot for lunch and shopping. The famous city of Pisa is less than 30 minutes from your villa. Tick a trip to the Leaning Tower off your bucket list and fall in love with the city's quaint cafés and gelataria, refuelling you as you explore the eclectic shops of the Corso Italia.
