Casa Coral boasts a lofty hillside location, giving it breathtaking views across the lush forest to the bay beyond. It places up to 12 guests on the Peninsula Papagayo, where there is a wealth of beach, ocean, and rainforest adventures on your doorstep.

The soft white sands of Playa Nacascolo lie just a few minutes’ drive away; here you can bask in the sun, snorkel through crystal clear waters, then watch the adorable capuchin monkeys and coatis climbing through the mangroves that line this peaceful cove. Head inland for adrenaline-fuelled adventures like white water rafting on the Tenorio River and ziplining through the forest treetops. End your days in paradise with a delicious meal at one of the excellent local restaurants, sampling the freshest ceviche and traditional cuisine like casado, a comforting rice and bean dish covered with banana leaves.

The grand open-plan living space celebrates natural materials, blending soaring wood-clad ceilings with textural stone walls and polished stone floors. This balcony-fronted oasis showcases a stylish living room with chic white, low-profile sofas. The kitchen is a vision of blond wood and boasts a large, seated island where you can share a bottle of wine as you prepare supper. Dine beneath lustrous gold statement lighting or take your feasts al fresco to the divine dining deck. After supper, relax in the second living room or curl up on one of the sunset lounges to admire the view.

There are five sophisticated bedrooms (four of which are ensuite), each offering thoughtful touches like private balconies and cosy seating nooks. Three of the rooms are king-size, one houses a queen-size bed; four more guests can be comfortably accommodated in the final room, which has two single-over-full bunk beds. Casa Coral’s ensuites offer a touch of decadence with high-end fixtures and fittings.
