Located high above Fish Bay on the South Shore of the enchanting island of St John, Croix Vista is an elegant four-bedroom villa that comfortably sleeps up to eight guests. A subtle blend of contemporary style meets traditional design motifs makes this St John villa a truly memorable destination for families and small groups.
The tropical, mountainous scenery of St John is home to some of the most exquisite plants and wildlife in the whole of the Caribbean. Water rushes down from the mountains to form gullies called guts, which lead into Fish Bay. While the beach may be tempting, guided hikes up these magical pathways and on a journey of discovery to find secret freshwater rock pools filled with crayfish. In the evenings, the local restaurants serve these crayfish in some deliciously spicy Creole sauces. Your dedicated concierge can arrange for guided hikes, as the paths can be steep and challenging.
The rustic charm of Croix Vista welcomes you with an organic ambience and delightful exteriors designed to blend in with the environment. Once through the door, the villa opens into a spacious, homely space where relaxation is at the top of the agenda. Cool tile floors, plenty of timber, green plants, and classic high-vaulted ceilings give the villa a boutique feel, while the large glass doors between the interior and sun terrace open fully to let the light flood in. The modern kitchen combines Shaker-style cabinets with the latest appliances, just a couple of steps from the dining area. Or go al fresco with a lazy brunch or evening BBQ on the terrace. An additional sitting room has a smaller kitchen, wet bar, and home theatre system for those movie nights with the children.
The villa’s bedrooms are designed to be quiet, peaceful spaces where you can unwind after a busy day trekking through St John’s natural wonders. All of the bedrooms offer deliciously indulgent king-size beds and ensuites decorated to the highest standard, with fresh tiles balanced by vintage-style sinks and fixtures.
Outside, the terrace provides unending vistas of Fish Bay and the shimmering blue ocean. A set of stairs leads from the upper terrace to the lower one, where you’ll find an inviting plunge pool and plenty of sun loungers.
