Brilliant amenities and a location by the beach render Jamoon perfect for family gatherings, couples and upmarket hen parties alike. Step through the main double doors to immediately be wowed by a cool foyer formed around a palm tree. To one side is the pantry – its wine cooler, mini fridge and icemaker ripe for entertaining – and ahead sprawls an open-plan living room, whose high ceilings overhang an antique group dining table and a baby grand piano.

Nearby is the cosy TV room and the spacious, Scandi-style kitchen in which your chef – part of a small team of staff, along with housekeepers – will concoct meals using local fare. Devour them on the wide, covered terrace, then doze in a chic outdoor sofa or cross mini-wooden bridges through gardens to the pool deck. Water volleyball and badminton facilities line the water’s deep end, with floating loungers awaiting less energetic types.

The seven bedrooms are spread around the two-floor home – including a master suite per level. All come with air-conditioning, ceiling fans and plush furnishings and most have French doors opening onto a patio, the garden or pool deck. Seclusion is offered by two-bedroom guest wing ‘The Cottage’, which has its own access and a shared bathroom. Once everyone reconvenes, spend days enjoying the surrounding Sandy Lane estate’s golf course, tennis courts, bars and exclusive beach, or drive to Holetown’s buzzy restaurants and shops.
