Resting amongst the emerald hills of the renowned Chianti region and nestled inside an ancient olive orchard, Villa Bablu is encased in wonderful privacy and natural beauty and yet is close to many delights. The cultural marvel that is Florence is just 15 minutes away and the airport is only 30 minutes away. Less than ten minutes will see you to the charming local town of Impruneta with its plethora of restaurants, gelato shops and bars; it also boasts a wonderful traditional bakery and a weekly farmers' market.
The two-storey home is elegantly composed of local Tuscan stone and terracotta: materials that bring delicious warmth and texture to the traditional design. Inside are sweeping cream walls, gorgeous wooden-beamed ceilings, elegant cotto floors and beautiful antique furnishings. The main space is particularly spectacular: a magnificent arched glass door lets light flood across the palatial room and its traditional golden-wood furniture.
The living area gives a cosier, but no less luminous, ambience with a grand ten-seat dining table, deep soft seating and stunning pieces of artwork scattered throughout. The lovely kitchen mixes charming Italian tradition with modern amenities so that you have a fabulous double refrigerator set within warm woods and charming vintage touches. There's also a cosy TV room which is a perfect retreat for some alone time.
The warm, airy and capacious ensuite bedrooms are delightful, with sumptuous beds, acres of space and lovely vintage furnishings. The master queen suite boasts its own fireplace and each of the further three queens, and one twin suite, easily rival its space and elegance.
The real magic of Villa Bablu, however, lies outside amongst the extensive manicured gardens and breathtaking views of the valley. An incredible loggia stretches the length of the house with a fabulous wooden-beamed roof crowning soft cream walls. Here lie a wonderful dining table and an elegant sitting area, which looks as if it were plucked from the inside of a mansion. There's a further shaded terrace with an even grander 12-seat dining table, resting next to shining lawns, with a charcoal BBQ and a romantic, glowing ambience.
Finally, amongst the lawns, awaits the sparkling pool set in a grand, sandy-hued deck, scattered with loungers. Here you can bask in the sunshine and take in the rolling vistas of the Tuscan countryside laid out before you.
