For groups of friends and family alike, Villa Anahi offers a dream scenario: multiple communal spaces in which to make merry, but also enough corners to guarantee quietude on tap.

Three separate lounge areas are provided: one is indoors, air-conditioned and ripe for movie-watching courtesy of its projector screen, while the outdoor pair suit barbecues or lounging. You also get your own badminton court, water garden, games room and gym. But there’s no doubting the villa’s headline act: a staggering L-shaped, saltwater pool which juts out above the hillside, its infinity edge facing Choeng Mon’s island-speckled bay. Float on a lilo here sipping cocktails, before retreating to one of the sun loungers.

Airy, bright and minimal, all five double bedrooms also command fine sea views. Each features whimsical local portraiture, plus oversized bathtubs and rainfall showers in an ensuite. There’s a broad kitchen, too, but you may not need it – breakfast is complimentary, while your chef will cook whenever you choose meals from the in-villa menu.

In strolling distance is Choeng Mon’s sandy beach, lined by seafood shacks, bars and boutiques. Bophut and Chaweng’s longer, louder beaches are also close to this northeastern peninsula. Samujana’s concierge can arrange jungly zip-line rides, hikes to waterfalls, sailboat voyages, massages or Muay Thai demos, while the estate’s shared tennis court is floodlit to enable all-day play. Your board includes airport transfers, and live-in staff to attend to the villa.
