Planning an action-packed day on the slopes?

Whether you’re hitting the slopes for the very first time or well-versed in Aspen’s black diamond trails, our favourite ski routes suit all levels of expertise. Oh, and we’ve also shared our insider knowledge on all the best restaurants and bars to soak up the buzzing apres ski atmosphere.

6:30 am

Wake up just before sunrise to an early morning meditation. Gather the family together for a hearty breakfast in your chalet - you’ll need plenty of energy for those mountains, after all.

9:00 am

The moment you’ve been waiting all year for; it’s now time to head out onto the ski slopes. If you’re staying in one of our ski-in/ski-out chalets, then it’s just a matter of donning your ski gear and heading straight out of your front door to the nearest gondola. Breathe in the fresh, crisp air and enjoy the magnificent mountain views as you ascend.

10:00 am - 2:00 pm

The Aspen Snowmass resort caters to both beginners and experts alike. If you’re visiting with little skiers, the Elk Camp Meadows and Panda Peak bunny slopes should be just about right - these flatter trails offer a safer terrain for them to find their feet.

For those confident in their abilities, the aptly-named Olympic Bowl run is for you. With 600 vertical feet of winding trails, it’s certainly not for the faint-hearted. Of course, those who do take on the challenge will be rewarded richly with the most exhilarating and intense ski experience.

2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

By midday, there's a good chance you've worked up quite an appetite. The good news is that there's no need to head all the way back down the mountain to enjoy a tasty lunch - both Sundeck and Bonnie's serve up breakfast, lunch, and après ski amid the snow-laden slopes of Aspen. Surrounded by 14,000-foot peaks, there's no setting quite like it.

4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Around 4 pm, you’ll be just about ready to savour the lively apres ski atmosphere within the town. Whether you plan on dressing up or enjoying a more laidback fare, we will let you know the best options when it comes to dinner. From the tantalizing aromas of Aspen Hickory House’s sizzling barbecue dishes to the warm and cosy atmosphere of the White House Tavern - a 19th-century miner’s cottage - there’s an eatery for every kind of occasion.

6:30 pm

Afterwards, head to Silver City for drinks and live music - a rustic cocktail bar set within the historic Elks Building.

7:30pm - 9:30 pm

Head back to your chalet warm up with a hot mug of cocoa in front of the fire. Or, indulge with a soothing soak in your very own bubbling hot tub - just what you need to soothe any sore muscles after an action-packed day on the slopes.
